I have the Motorola Hint, with alltel.
EVERYTIME i get a text message the phone automatically restarts itself.
it’s honestly very annoying and stressful, what could have caused this?
I don’t know but have you tried going to the Alltel website and see if there are any software upgrades for your phone? If there aren’t any, or that doesn’t do it, call their customer service and see if they will do anything about a defective phone.

I want to put ringtones on my phone from my computer but I don’t have a usb cord and I don’t want to go through that process. How can I send music from my computer to phone through a text message or something? I am in the UK so everything has to work with our networks.
Some websites do send music etc to your phone via text messaging but this service costs a bomb! If you’ve got WAP/GPRS (i.e. the mobile internet) on your phone, I suggest that you do what I did before I got my new phone. Just download what you want to your computer and then upload them to a free website. NB. These websites have a limit on the size of the file that you can download, so try not to upload anything too big (a common site is something like 200KB).
The websites I use for this are:
www.esato.com
You have to register to use this service but it’s free.
www.cbfmobile.com
Simple and easy to use.
Another thing you might want to do is get a friend with a computer cable to download what you want and send it to you either as a picture message or via infra red, if your phone has it (look for squares on the top, bottom or side of your phone-make sure that the square on your friend’s phone and yours are very close together and your infra red reception is activated. otherwise, it won’t work).
Hope this works!
I would like to know the technical side a cell phone uses in order to send a text (sms) message.
I already know how Blackberry Devices send message so I was curious as to if it was basically the same path?
IDK (I don’t know) I would say, Ask Blackberry or the provider how the phone sends texts.

CDs – 8 Compact Discs/Workbook About Communication Mastery We’ve all heard the time-tested truth “Who you are speaks so loudly, I can’t hear what you’re saying.” Yet it is equally true that people’s perception of who you are is controlled by dozens of small actions that you take every day. How quickly you return emails and phone calls, how you dress, the manner in which you speak and listen, the quality of your work, the people you surround yourself with, and even the look of your business card – all speak volumes to others about the person you are. In short, every action you take, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant, is a form of communication. The key to being successful, and in particular, to communicating the essence of who you are to others, is to make sure your actions deliver a consistent and compelling message. A message you have predetermined ahead of time will help you to achieve your highest goals and objectives. A Perfect Message. In this compelling audio experience, Mr. Presentation – Tony Jeary – will give you his “insider information” on how to create your Perfect Message and how to deliver that Perfect Message with every action you take. The Perfect Message System you’ll discover in Communication Mastery is the very same one CEOs from top Fortune 100 corporations pay Tony thousands of dollars to teach them. And once they have defined their Perfect Message, they’ve been able to radically simplify and focus their career plan, double and even triple their incomes, and increase their ability to influence and motivate others. They’ve also applied the Perfect Message System to their businesses, to focus their marketing messages and exponentially increase customer acquisition and bottom-line revenue – with the same product line and the same staff! With Communication Mastery, that same insider information is yours. Tony will act as your personal coach, giving you the essentials of his system, including: The 8 essentials of
The voice-mail response critic Jim DeRogatis got from Ryan Adams after Jims not-so-positive review of one of Adams shows. Using discography as video, but the audio is the point…
Some quotes from the review:
“Note to Ryan Adams: Wish you were anywhere but here”
“Adams can release three CDs in a three-week span, but the fact remains that he still can’t write one song as original or as heartfelt as anything by Jeff Tweedy.”
“Absent an historical musical context or a functioning b.s. detector, it is possible to mistake Adams for being as talented and clever as he thinks he is. But then there are plenty of people who can’t tell the difference between plastic flowers and real ones, until they bend over to take a whiff.”
“The fans (who skewed younger than Adams) ate it all up, but you had to suspect that it was because they’d never seen the real Courtney, much less the Replacements or even Wilco.”
